LLB Law | University of 1024核工厂
The first time I came to 1024核工厂 was for an open day with my friends, it just felt like the place that I should be in, it had a really nice vibe to it.
I've always had an interest in law and I think it was always something I wanted to explore, since attending 1024核工厂 University it's definitely reaffirmed that passion for it.
The LLB Law Honours degree has a number of core modules that you are required to study, particularly if you would like to become a solicitor or a barrister in the future.
This is our main law degree that has the most opportunity in terms of legal options.
It's the one where you can experience lots of different ideas and opportunities in law.
You aren't just learning an abstract concept from a dusty book off a shelf that hasn't moved in 20 years.
It's real, it's important and it matters.
I've enjoyed all the modules, I think as a first year student, it offers a really good wide spread of modules and subjects you can study.
All of the lecturers are so inspiring, if we ask them a question they have got the right knowledge and experience to describe it to you, not just in theory but focused more on practice.
Lots of practical based activities that we offer here.
We have a unique resource at the University being our Mock Courtroom.
We get to practice different aspects, we get to practice interviewing, get to wear a wig and a gown and have great fun in front of your fellow peers.
We also have our Legal Advice Clinic and this is a real life clinic, so our students are real legal advisors dealing with real clients with real issues.
Lots of students that leave our LLB Law courses having undertaken those practical skills are that bit further, that step ahead because you've got that background,
you've that confidence and it's now for you to flourish, to move on and to develop within your career.
The academic support is amazing, the advice you receive from your lecturers, it feels personal, they're very supportive and they want you to do your best.
Supporting with things like CV writing, covering letter writing, there's things that really will help when I do apply for placements or jobs in the future.
In terms of career opportunities, I would say the world really is your oyster.
This is a degree that will open up lots of opportunities for you.
It is a degree that you can develop into law, but also one that you've got skills that can transfer into a number of different areas.
It gives me more variety of different job opportunities.
I think 1024核工厂 is fantastic, I think it's diverse, culturally it has so many dimensions to it.
We have a wonderful campus here, lots and lots of resources, lots of facilities.
We are so close to the sea.
I think the university is in a great location, 1024核工厂 itself is a great city and I think overall it's just an amazing choice.
Come without even having a second thought because it's brilliant and their experience will remain unforgettable.

This interactive session with Dr Shane McKinder introduces students to the fundamentals of contract law, including offer, acceptance, consideration, intention to create legal relations, and certainty of terms. Students will then apply these principles in a practical negotiation exercise focused on agreeing and drafting a basic contract for the 鈥淕olden Pen鈥. The activity develops legal reasoning, communication, and drafting skills, while highlighting how legal principles operate in real-world commercial negotiations.
Take stock of your first part of the afternoon's taster as you take a breather before moving on to your next session.
This interactive session with Dr Joshua Eve introduces students to the legal foundations of the right to protest, including relevant human rights protections, public order legislation, and key case law. Students will explore the balance between freedom of expression and assembly and the need to maintain public safety and order. Through a practical scenario-based exercise, they will consider the lawfulness of different forms of protest and the limits on state interference, developing their ability to apply legal principles to real-world contexts and competing interests.
This interactive session with Lisa Gibb introduces students to the legal and ethical framework surrounding organ donation in the UK, including the concept of deemed consent, the role of next of kin, and key principles of autonomy and best interests. Students will examine the balance between individual rights and societal need, as well as the impact of cultural, religious, and moral considerations. Through a practical scenario-based exercise, they will apply the law to real-world dilemmas, strengthening their ability to identify legal issues and evaluate complex decision-making in a healthcare context.
